Nominees for the 69th Annual Grammy Awards will be officially announced on November 16.
The February 2027 show will also mark the first time the ceremony won’t be broadcast on CBS after a historic 54-year run.
The Recording Academy revealed in late 2024 that it had made a 10-year broadcast agreement with a new network
Despite its longtime partnership with CBS, the academy opted to part ways after the expiration of a 10-year contract, originally penned in 2016.
After extensive negotiations, both parties failed to agree on financial terms and the show’s future vision, prompting the decision.
In October 2024, the academy revealed it had brokered a deal with Walt Disney Company, driven by the desire for broader distribution and modernisation.
The blockbuster deal was valued at roughly $500 million.
As a result, the ceremony will air exclusively on ABC and stream on Hulu and Disney+ until 2036.
ABC previously broadcast the Grammys before CBS took over in 1973.
NBC originally aired the ceremony for its first 12 years, beginning in 1959.
